JESUS said:
"Judge not, that you be not judged.
For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged;
and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye,
but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
Or how can you say to your brother,
'Let me remove the speck from your eye';
and look, a plank is in your own eye?
Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye,
and then you will see clearly to remove the
speck from your brother's eye."
Matthew 7:1-5 NKJV
Forgiving Others
Requires Humility
So when [Jesus] had washed their feet,
taken His garments,
and sat down again,
He said to them,
“Do you know what
I have done to you?
You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well,
for so I am.
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than
he who sent him.
If you know these things, blessed are you
if you do them.“
John 13:12-17 NKJV
We learn WHEN to forgive others:
"And whenever you stand praying,
if you have anything against anyone,
forgive him,
that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
But if you do not forgive,
neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."
Mark 11:25-26 NKJV
We learn that PRIDE is usually the root of an unforgiving attitude.
Judging others is natural for the old man. But now we have the supernatural power of the Spirit of Christ to see beyond our negative imaginations and forgive others — even our enemies — from our hearts.
"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord,
and He will lift you up."
James 4:10 NKJV

Forgiveness is much more than "making amends"!
